Call for abstracts

Please submit your abstract electronically by 15 March 2012 March 31, 2012  to:

Each abstract should be accompanied by an Abstract Submission Form.
Authors of accepted presentations will be notified via e-mail before 25 March 2012  April 10, 2012 .
The Book of Abstracts will also be available on the ISOCS-25 website.

 

Preparation of Abstracts

The abstracts will be published as submitted. The authors will be responsible for accuracy and layout.
A set of templates for the preparation of the abstracts is available here for download. We recommend you to use these templates whenever possible.

If you do not want to use these templates, below there is a list of settings that have to be used to prepare the abstracts

  • The abstract must be prepared with Microsoft Word (any version)
  • The abstract should be contained in ONE page (DIN A4 size)
  • Both top and bottom margins should be set to 2,5 cm.
  • Both left and right margins should be set to 2,2 cm.
  • The document should contain the following sections:

Title: Times or Times New Roman, 14, bold, centered, capital letters. After that 2 empty lines.
Authors: Times or Times New Roman, 12, bold, centered. Author names should be separated by commas, and the presenting author name should be underlined. After that 2 empty lines.
Affiliation: Times or Times New Roman, 12, italic, centered. It should include information about department, center, institution, address, e-mail address (web site). After that 2 empty lines.
Body of the abstract: Times or Times New Roman, 12, single spaced, justified.
References must be located at the bottom of the page. Before them 2 empty lines.
Graphical material should be placed horizontally on the page, preferably centered.
Any graphical material must comply with these settings:

  • Line Length: 15 points
  • Line Width: 0,8 points
  • Bold Width: 3 points
  • Margin Width: 1.5 points
  • Hash Spacing: 2 points
